Careful cleaning of walls
When performing any renovation work, the first step is to prepare the walls, floors or other surfaces for them. The same applies to wallpapering. The first step is toremove any remaining elements from the walls. These may be, for example, nails or protruding screws. It is also important to remove old paint coats, unless the wall is new (in which case it will be enough to prime it). The paint should be removed using a method appropriate to its type. Chalk or lime paint can be removed with a spatula, emulsion and acrylic paint with detergent, while oil paint must be sanded. Sometimes it happens that we change wallpaper in a room that previously covered the wall. To remove the old covering, you can use a spatula soaked in water with the addition of wallpaper removal fluid.
Wall leveling and priming
Wallpapers should be applied to a leveled surface. Therefore, it is extremely important to supplement any possible unevenness. For this purpose, you can use, for example, a repair mass with the addition of glass fiber. It should be used to fill gaps, scratches or cracks. The last step is priming the walls, which should be preceded by sanding them with sandpaper. By using a primer, the adhesion of the surface will increase and its absorbency will be evened out. Manufacturers of the preparations usually specify how long you should wait before starting to wallpaper. After the time they specify, you can start wallpapering.
The wallpapers that you will find in our store are distinguished by their ease of installation and assembly. Thanks to the wide range of patterns, you can change any interior, for example by using wallpapers with trees and flowers, tropical wallpapers or neutral gray wallpapers.
